THE ORIGIN STORY
Not a Startup Story. Something Rarer
This is a story of a technology that was pulled into existence by real problems, from real operations, across real years.
CAC Group, the Japanese technology group behind OCTOps, spent years building AI visual solutions for enterprise clients — one client, one problem, one AI model at a time. A prefab manufacturer needed to track workers’ time. A scaffolding supplier needed to quickly and accurately count their inventories. A logistics company needed to improve their packaging and labelling quality control. CAC built for each.
And it worked. Client by client, the models performed. But a different problem began to grow in the background: the models multiplied. One client had three models running. Another had six. Some had been trained on years of footage and become exceptionally accurate, but clients needed a way to maintain that accuracy across multiple sites and changing conditions, and that was not something most operations teams could do on their own.
The intelligence was there. The orchestration was not.
OCTOps was CAC’s answer to that problem. Not just an AI model. A platform designed to host, coordinate, improve, and retrain any number of visual AI models in a single unified system.
